What time is it?

There are a lot of common metaphors in English which show our relationship and attitude to time as a resource.

We talk about spending, investing, saving and wasting time.

We say we have or don’t have enough time left or that we’re running out of time.

Things might take up too much of our time; we may have time to spare, or something might not be worth the time.

Try this short exercise and see how many of these time expressions you can use.
