Examples of ”look forward to” and ”looking forward to” in business emails

In a business email, look forward to or looking forward to are commonly used to express enthusiasm and a sense of anticipation for a future event or meeting. Both are typically used at the end of an email as a polite way to end the message.

They can also express that you are excited about the next step in your communication or working together:

Thank you for the contract draft. I will go through it and let you know my suggestions.

I look forward to our cooperation on the project.

Kind regards

Stephen McDonald

I look forward vs. I am looking forward vs. Looking forward

There is no difference between I’m looking forward and I look forward. However, a less formal version (perhaps between colleagues) is Looking forward to. Here’s an example of the final sentence in an informal email:

Thanks for the project documentation – looking forward to discussing it with you in the office next week.

Regards

Stephen
