Grammar study page: structure practice (verb + object + infinitive)

After some verbs we need to include an object before to + infinitive.

Some of these verbs are: advise, ask, allow, expect, encourage, force, help, invite, order, persuade, teach, tell.

They helped their neighbour to repair his car.

She asked me to give her some advice.

I told my assistant to send the letter.

Her employer forced her to pay for the damage.

The correct structure is:
VERB + TO + INFINITIVE.

He told me not to drive so fast.

The negative form of
to-infinitive is not to do something.
