Past perfect or past perfect continuous

Examples of past perfect:       

I'd (I had) seen him. | You hadn't (had not) seen him. | Had you seen him?

Examples of past perfect continuous:       

I'd (I had) been working hard          You hadn't (had not) been working hard          Had you been working hard?

Fill in the gap in each sentence with the correct form of past perfect, simple or continuous.
Example: When Julie arrived at the party, she found that Terry (go) home.
