Exercise - past simple or past continuous tense

Examples of past simple:       

I saw him yesterday. | I didn't (did not) see him yesterday.
Did you see him?

Examples of past continuous:       

I was reading a book. | I wasn't (was not) reading.
Were you reading?

You were reading a book. | You weren't (were not) reading.
Was he reading?

Use the words in brackets to put the following into the past simple or past continuous.
Example: I (go) to London last week.
